What Actually Happens in a Discovery Call

And why it is not a discovery call.

Most initial conversations with a marketing firm follow the same format. The operator describes their business, the firm takes notes, and the firm produces a proposal that repackages what the operator just told them with a price attached. The operator has essentially written the proposal themselves. They just did not know it. A discovery call is not that.

What we do before you show up

When an operator submits a Full-Menu Snapshot, the homework starts. We go through the website — every service page, what it says, what it is missing, how it handles the conversion from interest to booking. We look at the navigation and what a new visitor experiences when they arrive. We look at the service mix and think about what a full-menu marketing system for that specific business would look like. We look at the paid media situation from the outside and where the organic gaps are.

    What happens in the session

Thirty to forty-five minutes. Not a presentation, not a slide deck review — a conversation where we walk the operator through what we see. We show them what their website looks like to a patient arriving for a specific service, where patients are likely falling off, and what a system designed to catch patients across all their services would look like. The operator does not need to prepare anything. The preparation is already done.

    What does not happen

No automated audit in PDF form. No generic report with a competitor analysis and a keyword list. No follow-up sequence sending three emails asking if you looked at the proposal. If the conversation reveals the fit is not right, we say so. If the business is not at a stage where a full-menu system is the right move, we say that too.

    Conclusion

Submit a Full-Menu Snapshot. It takes about two minutes. We review it, do our preparation, and reach out with scheduling options. You show up. We show you what we see.
